Based on the classic crime novels by Margery Allingham, this 1930s detective drama stars Peter Davison as the enigmatic sleuth Albert Campion. Aided by his faithful companion Magersfontein Lugg, the duo try to prevent the theft of a priceless artefact and investigate a family disappearance for an old friend. The mysterious murder of a man who was already meant to be dead and the death of an artist also call on all of Campion's detective skills. Campion recruits the help of the local traveller community as he attempts to thwart the international criminal gang who are out to steal the Gyrth Chalice. Can Campion and Lugg save the day?
