Down on his luck, Martin Quincy falls in with crooked company, and agrees to participate in a train robbery. The hold-up is successful, netting Quincy over three thousand dollars. But later he's shocked to discover that one of the other thieves shot a woman in front of her child - and when he castigates them, they beat him, steal his money, and leave him for dead in the desert.
