Introducing the MEIRANDE, an Interpretation Centre about the Battle of Rande and the Industrial Heritage of the Estuary of Vigo, in the Strait of Rande, in San Simón Bay. The creation process and the basic lines of the conversion into a museum are presented. The Meirande is located in "The Factory of the German", a ruined salting factory that had been transformed into a canning one. This factory witnessed the historical processes that occurred in the Estuary of Vigo in relation to its industrial development in modern times and is located in the place where the Battle of Rande took place in 1702
