Luciano Berriatúa made in 1975 the only film adaptation of El Buscón de Quevedo. It follows the literary text, maintaining the essentials to make it recognizable. The most relevant aspects are the construction of the dialogues, the narrative form it adopts, the correspondences, alterations, deletions and additions, including those of other Golden Age authors who are not in the hypotext. We highlight the use of cinematographic transitions because they provide a sequentiality that the novel does not have. In this study these aspects are analyzed and, in addition, the social question is considered, which in the film maintains the Quevedian idea of denying social ascent, but with a vindication of his rogue status and with a criticism of the noble class
Luciano Berriatúa realizó en 1975 la única adaptación cinematográfica de El Buscón de Quevedo. En ella sigue el texto literario, manteniendo lo esencial para hacerlo reconocible. Los aspectos más relevantes son la construcción de los diálogos, la forma narrativa que adopta, las correspondencias, alteraciones, supresiones y adiciones, incluidas las de otros autores del Siglo de Oro que no están en el hipotexto. Destacamos el uso de las transiciones cinematográficas porque aportan una secuencialidad que la novela no tiene. En este estudio se analizan estos aspectos y, además, se considera la cuestión social que en la película mantiene la idea quevediana de negar el ascenso social, pero con una reivindicación de su condición de pícaro y con una crítica a la clase nobiliaria
