Codrile
OQO 2010

Codrile was hungry, but mammy crocodile had to watch the nest. There was an egg in the nest and inside the egg a brother. Codrile went off ready to hunt alone, but he was still a little small and he wasnt used to getting his own food. Children learn almost without being conscious of their own evolution. Codrile, in spite of being little, shows a certain maturity in that he is able to face up to his needs and tries to demonstrate an independent behaviour. The cycle of life, growth and the birth of a brother make us face up to the new demands associated with independence. In a certain way, this situation implies breaking certain family ties. In any case, the birth of a brother is something beautiful that brings about more advantages than disadvantages. For that, any fear that brings about a conflict is totally dispersed when the elder child understands it does not mean competing for affection. A simple story musically narrated and recreated in affectionate and colourful illustrations. Images that allow approach, nearness and complicity with the feelings of the main character.
